Apple Vision Pro Set to Gain Apple Intelligence in April Update
Apple plans to integrate Apple Intelligence into Vision Pro via the visionOS 2.4 update, potentially launching in April, to enhance user experience with AI-driven features.
Apple is reportedly planning to bring Apple Intelligence to the Vision Pro headset as part of the visionOS 2.4 update, which could arrive as early as April 2025. This move aims to enhance the functionality and user experience of the high-end device by integrating AI-powered features.
The update is expected to include familiar features like Writing Tools, Genmoji, and Image Playground. These tools, already available on other Apple devices, are set to optimize the mixed reality experience on Vision Pro. A developer version of the update is anticipated to be released this week.
Notably, the initial rollout of Apple Intelligence on Vision Pro will not include an upgraded Siri. A broader Siri upgrade is facing delays due to engineering challenges and bugs.
In addition to Apple Intelligence, the visionOS 2.4 update will introduce a dedicated application for spatial content, allowing users to explore 3D images, spatial films, and panoramic content. An improved guest mode will also simplify the process of sharing the device with others. Users can configure guest access through their iPhones, eliminating the need to adjust permissions directly on the headset.
