Recent reports from industry insiders indicate that Alibaba has welcomed a heavyweight figure in the AI industry. The figure, a top global artificial intelligence scientist, will be focusing on the research and application of foundational large models for AI To C (Consumer) business in the future. What's more, this scientist has over 20 years of experience in both industry and academia, with a key focus on multimodal AI, having led the publication of hundreds of top papers on large models in AI. 

Feelers in the industry day that the personnel change also highlights the acceleration of Alibaba's strategy in the AI To C sector. Since the end of 2024, Alibaba's AI To C business layout has started to advance rapidly. 

An indicator of this growth is the Tongyi consumer products that have been integrated into the Intelligent Information Business Group, and the collaboration with Quark to jointly promote the To C business.
