Swiss AI Firm Unique Secures $30M in Series A Funding
Unique, a Swiss AI platform specializing in agentic AI for financial services, has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round led by CommerzVentures and DN Capital.
Unique, a Zurich-based AI company, has successfully closed a $30 million Series A funding round, marking a significant milestone in its mission to transform the financial services industry through agentic AI. The funding round was led by CommerzVentures, the venture capital arm of Commerzbank, and DN Capital, a London-based venture capital firm, with additional support from existing investors VI Partners and Pictet Group.
Unique specializes in developing AI solutions tailored for the financial sector, focusing on enhancing efficiency and compliance in back-office and middle-office operations. Its platform supports financial institutions by automating resource-intensive workflows, allowing teams to focus on high-value tasks while reducing operational risks. The company offers 25 specialized use cases or custom-built agents, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems to improve data processing accuracy.
Unique's AI solutions are already deployed by prominent financial institutions, including Pictet Group, UBP, LGT Private Banking, SIX, and others, managing over $2.3 trillion in assets. One of its key clients, Pictet Group, reports efficiency gains of approximately two hours per week per employee by leveraging Unique's platform.
The new funding will be used to accelerate Unique's global expansion, particularly into the U.S. market, and enhance its product development capabilities. This strategic move aims to capitalize on the growing demand for AI-driven solutions in financial services.

Unique has also appointed Dana Ritter as its new Chief Product Officer, effective April 2025. Ritter previously served as a Group Product Manager at Google DeepMind, where she led the successful launch of the Gemini project on Android.
CommerzVentures and DN Capital's investment in Unique underscores the potential of agentic AI in transforming financial operations.
