NVIDIA Lauds DeepSeek for Introducing an ‘Outstanding Advancement in Artificial Intelligence’
NVIDIA praises DeepSeek for creating an outstanding AI tool for the ages

The DeepSeek R1 innovation has seen accolades from all comers. DeepSeek, the domestic large model company leads the free app download charts in the Apple App Store for both China and the United States, surpassing household names like ChatGPT.
It's no surprise then, that NVIDIA has something to say. A spokesman from the renowned chip leader praised DeepSeek, calling it an outstanding advancement in the AI field. He also noted that the innovation demonstrates how to utilize testing time scaling technology and available models. and computation resources that comply with export controls to create new models.
Further, the spokesperson said that the inference process requires substantial support from NVIDIA GPUs and high-performance networks. NVIDIA currently masters three scaling patterns, including its ongoing pre-training and post-training, as well as new testing time scaling technology. With this statement, it's a fact that the GPUs used by DeepSeek fully comply with U.S. export control requirements.
In recent years, testing time scaling technology has been a trending topic. What this means is that a fully trained AI model that invests in more computational resources during prediction, text generation, or image generation will produce higher-quality answers. OpenAI's o1 is a good example of this model and technology.
However, NVIDIA has posted huge losses. A day ago, it was part of there major U.S. stock indices that closed mixed, with NVIDIA's stock price plummeting by 16.9% to $118.58 per share, the lowest point in the past ten months. About $590 billion of NVIDIA's value evaporated in a single day, setting the record for the largest single-day loss in market value for an individual stock. NVIDIA's founder, Jensen Huang also saw his fortune significantly reduce by $21 billion.
DeepSeek officially released the inference large model DeepSeek-R1 on January 20, gaining widespread attention for its outstanding performance, open-source nature, significantly reduced price, and training costs.
