SAP SE Empowers Developers for Business AI Revolution with Advanced Tools and Partnerships

SAP SE is driving a major leap in business AI by equipping developers with cutting-edge tools and expanding its AI ecosystem through strategic partnerships. Announced at SAP TechEd 2025, these innovations empower developers to harness AI capabilities faster and more effectively, transforming business data and processes into impactful outcomes.

Central to SAP’s vision is its flagship development platform, SAP Build, which empowers developers with greater flexibility to build, extend, and automate enterprise applications using their preferred tools. Recent updates include integration with popular agentic AI development platforms such as Cursor, Claude Code, Cline, and Windsurf via SAP Build’s new local Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers. Additionally, SAP Build capabilities are now accessible directly within Visual Studio Code through a new extension, with broader availability planned on the Open VSX Registry.

Complementing this, SAP’s Joule AI ecosystem introduces powerful new AI assistants designed to coordinate multiple agents across diverse workflows in finance, supply chain, and HR. Developers can customize existing SAP-ready agents or build new autonomous agents that leverage SAP’s extensive business data, facilitating smarter decision-making and accelerating automation at scale.

A significant partnership with Snowflake enhances this ecosystem with bidirectional data integration, enabling seamless data flow between SAP Business Data Cloud and Snowflake, thus expanding developers’ data reach and application possibilities. Furthermore, SAP has launched its first enterprise relational foundation model, SAP-RPT-1, tailored to predict and optimize business scenarios like delivery delays and payment risks.

Muhammad Alam, Executive Board member at SAP SE, emphasized this developer-centric approach: “Our innovations across SAP’s applications, data, and AI create a unique flywheel, putting developers in the driver’s seat. We’re enabling them to deliver transformative business outcomes at the speed of AI.”

Beyond tools and technology, SAP pledges to equip 12 million people worldwide with AI-ready skills by 2030, acknowledging the critical human element in the AI-driven business revolution.

These developments position SAP at the forefront of enterprise AI innovation, providing developers with the frameworks, data assets, and AI intelligence necessary to shape the future of work and business transformation.
