Peter Okafor, a 19-year-old, built Learnrithm AI to transform global learning. “I wasn’t struggling because I was lazy—I just needed someone to teach me differently,” he said. Peter knows exactly how it feels to be left behind in the classroom. For years, he endured poor grades, but it wasn't because he lacked intelligence. Traditional teaching methods didn't allow for his talents.

The Inspiration

It was 2024 and with failure staring him in the face, he decided to change the situation—not just for himself, but for the world. Now, Peter Okafor is the CEO of Learnrithm AI, a revolutionary educational platform that uses artificial intelligence to teach any subject in a personalized, step-by-step manner.

Through this tool, he began to improve his own learning experience and has seen it reach others, snowballing into a global platform with over 2,500 users. It has reshaped how people across Africa, Europe, and beyond approach education.

In just six months since its official launch in August 2024, Learnrithm AI has been something of a unicorn among many startups, raking in award wins, global reach, and a rapidly growing user base.

Shaped by Challenges

It wasn't an instant success for Peter and his startup. Based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, Peter always had a curious and eager mind for learning. But the classroom wasn’t built for learners like him. Teachers moved too quickly, while the material mostly felt abstract, and no matter how hard he tried, the grades didn't reflect his efforts or potential.

“I knew I wasn’t dumb—I just needed information delivered in a way that made sense to me,” he recalls. That generalization birthed an idea, "What if technology could deliver personalized learning to anyone, at any pace, in any subject?" Peter was still a university student when he began building, writing the first lines of code in his dorm room which would later become Learnrithm AI.

The tool was initially for himself—a virtual tutor that could break down complex topics and reteach him in ways he could finally understand. However, the results were instant and improved his grades. Concepts once impossible to grasp finally made sense. Soon, his classmates began asking for access—and that’s when Peter Okafor realized his personal project could change far more lives than his own.

Peter officially launched Learnrithm AI to the public with a simple mission: Make learning accessible for anyone, anywhere, no matter how they learn. By February 2025, the results were undeniable: 2,500+ active users across Africa, Europe, and beyond. He established Learnrithm Ai student communities in 30+ universities, where ambassadors promote the platform and assist their peers.

The educational tool got accepted into the Microsoft for Startups program, receiving $1,000 in Azure credits to scale operations and made it into the Forbes BLK, while securing $500 worth of MongoDB credits to enhance its infrastructure. Other achievements make the success of Learnrithm AI.

A Team for Future Expansion

There's a solid team driving Peter Okafor's vision, with the great man and self-taught software engineer at the helm of affairs. Supporting him is Ayoub Chalabi (CTO) – An experienced AI developer overseeing the platform’s technical architecture and also the CTO of Learnrithm AI.

Learnrithm is set to dominate the EdTech industry, especially as it was built by someone who understands the struggle of learning. “I didn’t build Learnrithm AI as a business idea—I built it because I needed it to survive,” Peter Okafor says. “And I know there are millions of people out there who feel the same frustration I did.”

Remarkable Features

Learnrithm AI’s core features are quite remarkable and include

  • Personalized AI Tutor: Users can learn any topic at their own pace.

  • AI Study Buddy: An AI chatbot answers academic questions in real-time.

  • PDF Upload & Reteach: Users can upload textbooks or notes, and the

AI will translate them into clear, digestible lessons, while there's a Voice Learning Model to help learners engage in voice-based conversations with the AI. In 2025, Peter Okafor plans to expand across the globe, reaching more students and launching new AI capabilities, including adaptive learning models, and increasing accessibility by offering free and affordable plans.
