Amazon has announced a significant update to its Q Business platform, enabling companies to build and deploy public-facing chatbots through Amazon Web Services (AWS). With the addition of anonymous user access, AWS customers can now configure Q Business chatbots for use on websites, support portals, and other public channels. These chatbots can assist users in searching documentation, completing self-service requests, troubleshooting issues, and accessing product information-streamlining customer service and reducing the need for human intervention.

Amazon’s Q Business assistant, first launched two years ago at AWS re:Invent, has steadily evolved. The platform already provided advanced capabilities such as answering questions, summarizing content, and performing tasks across third-party applications. The latest update builds on these features by allowing businesses to ground chatbot responses in their own support documents and knowledge bases, ensuring accurate and contextually relevant answers for end-users.

The new anonymous access mode is designed with flexibility in mind.
