Fashion Retailers Partner for New Personalized AI Styling Tool ‘Ella’
The brands are working together to optimize fashion services with AI.
Luxury membership platform Vivrelle has teamed up with Revolve and FWRD to launch Ella, a new AI-powered personal styling tool designed to make fashion shopping more seamless and personalized.
Ella allows users to request outfit suggestions for any occasion—whether it’s a bachelorette weekend or a vacation wardrobe—and instantly generates curated looks by pulling from Vivrelle’s rental selection as well as Revolve and FWRD’s designer retail and resale offerings. Shoppers can then check out in a single cart on Vivrelle, blending rental, resale, and retail in one streamlined experience.
Vivrelle co-founder and CEO Blake Geffen said Ella aims to “take the stress out of packing for a vacation or everyday dressing,” noting the tool took nearly a year to develop. The more customers interact with Ella, the smarter its recommendations become—similar to asking ChatGPT for personalized fashion advice.
This is the second AI tool launched by the partnership; earlier this year, the trio introduced Complete the Look, a checkout feature suggesting last-minute add-ons. Ella, however, takes personalization further by offering a conversational, AI-driven styling experience.
The launch reflects fashion’s growing embrace of AI during the current technology boom. While the industry has long chased the dream of personalized shopping—iconically portrayed in the 90s film Clueless—advances in AI are finally making it a reality.
“With Ella, we’re giving members flexibility and options to shop or borrow with ease, through conversations that feel like talking to a live stylist,” Geffen added.
