DeepSeek Hit by Large-Scale Malicious Attacks as Users Rush to Register
DeepSeek may have suffered large-scale malicious attacks, due to busy registrations

According to DeepSeek, its online services have recently suffered a large-scale malicious attack. In an announcement, DeepSeek said the busy registration process is responsible for this. As a result, it reminds users that if they come across difficulties in registering, they can wait some moments before trying again.
Thankfully, registered users can log in normally and are not affected by the attacks. Further, reports have emerged that DeepSeek temporarily restricted the registration method for non-86 phone numbers, but registered users can log in without any issues. Currently one of the most popular and leading large models, DeepSeek-V3 ranks first among open-source models on mainstream lists. Many users have compared it to the world's most advanced closed-source models.
In a media interview, the founder of DeepSeek, Liang Wenfeng, stated that Chinese AI cannot always remain in a position of following. He further mentioned that the real gap between Chinese AI and that of the United States lies in originality versus imitation. He wants things to change in such a way that China stops being a follower and takes the initiative.
Going by recent news and events, China is currently making waves with new AI models. According to him, some exploration in the AI industry and market is inevitable.
If this does not change, China will always be a follower. Therefore, some exploration is inevitable.
